Dear colleagues,
It is a great honour and privilege for us to invite you to join the “Athens Advanced Critical Care Echocardiography Series – The Evangelismos Course”, which will be organized by the Hellenic Society of Intensive Care Medicine and The First Department of Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Services of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. The on-site Course, which will be held in English, will take place on June 19th and 20th, 2026 at the “Charalambos Roussos” Amphitheater of the Evangelismos Hospital in Athens, Greece.
An extensive collection of clinical cases from the entire spectrum of critical illness, where advanced critical care echocardiography was successfully implemented to diagnose and aid therapeutic interventions, will be presented. The program will include advanced hands-on sessions in transthoracic imaging and image-based training. Participants will be provided with free online educational material and taught how to complete an echocardiography report.
At the end of the course, participants are anticipated to be able to integrate advanced echocardiography in the management of critically ill patients.
The course is endorsed by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM). Participants in the European Diploma in Advanced Critical Care EchoCardiography (EDEC) pathway are awarded a learning component of 6 points.
